Which side of the transfer the request amount sizes: what leaves the payer, or what reaches the receiver.

Variants

FeesExcluded

amount sizes the receiving end, and fees are paid on top.

Sending: amount is the provider invoice/deposit target, and the wallet pays amount + source_transfer_fee_sats in total. Receiving: amount is what the wallet ends up with, and the deposit the sender is asked for is sized above it to cover fees.

FeesIncluded

amount sizes the paying end, and fees come out of it.

Sending: amount is the wallet’s total sats budget, and the provider leg is sized so amount_in + source_transfer_fee_sats <= amount. Receiving: amount is the deposit the sender makes, and the wallet ends up with that minus fees.
